YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage our engineering team, removing hurdles and ensuring the team can function at their best with peace of mind
Working closely with Product and others, including external parties where required, you will shape customer needs into product increments as we pivot our strategy to effectively navigate product-market fit
Ensure the team delivers code quality and according to agreed standards
Setting the direction and leading developers in the implementation whilst employing business-savviness in the decision-making process, design and implementation of our software projects
Coach and mentor other engineers while taking ownership of our system to craft a secure and scalable front- and back-end platform
Develop secure financial systems with real-time, AI-driven capabilities
Understand regulatory compliance as well as identify and manage potential risks
Establish and develop the necessary processes and ways of working to consistently deliver high-quality and stable services to our customers
Understand the competence landscape within the team and match that against what is required by our roadmap to identify and address needs accordingly.
IN ORDER FOR YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU BRING:
Strong leadership skills with at least 2 years hands-on experience managing an engineering team
Superb problem-solving skills and a strong desire to deliver high-quality solutions
Confident written and verbal communication skills - an ability to adapt to effectively discuss technical concepts, expectations and deliverables required to any audience
A discerning and pragmatic mindset that can adapt depending on whether the challenge at hand is short-term or long-term
A good grasp of scale, data-modelling, architecture and long-term maintenance aspects
A passion for keeping abreast of new technologies
Experience in designing, developing and documenting public APIs and B2B2C products
A solid background building high performing micro-services in Node.js, Microservice/Serverless architecture
You hold a university degree (BSc or MSc) within Computer Science/Engineering or a related field
Fluent in English; other languages are advantageous as we are working in a fully international team

Fair salary package: For this full-time position we offer a minimum salary of 52.220,00 € gross per year*. Your actual salary will be based on your experience and qualification.
