At hi.health we are creating smooth ways to access healthcare, by layering fintech solutions on top of insurance integrations.
We are currently a team of 20 people, based in Vienna (AT) and Berlin (DE). We announced one of Austria's biggest Seed-Rounds and are now backed by an international team of venture capital firms and angels focused on fintech, insurance, and healthcare. With almost 50,000 new users within a couple of months, we are experiencing solid growth and have become a leading independent provider in our space.

The role:
We are now looking for a Head of Operations who will oversee our ongoing operations and support organizational growth. You will...
- collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs
- manage all payment-related services, ensure delivery of payment-related projects, partnering and responding to internal & external compliance requests
- lead and develop the operations department
- build a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are met
Your responsibilities:
- Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service support, timely follow up on inquiries and proactive problem solving
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements relating to banking and payment services
- Develop and build an effective network of banking partners and payment service providers
- Service as primary contact for partners
- Establish and review key operational risk indicators and formulate action plans to minimize companies’ exposure
- Contribute to the development of the product by ongoing assessment and anticipated changes in the external environment
- directly oversee operations, finance, and HR
What you will bring along:
- 6+ years of experience in managing operations teams
- payment background and a solid understanding of the payments infrastructure and the players within it
- experience in working on payment products in the B2C/B2B space
- excellent understanding of core aspects of banking operations
- ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational plans and actions
- experience in managing relationships with banks and payment service providers
- experience running operations in a scale-up/fast-growing environment and deal well with ambiguity and change
- A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
It is a plus if you have experience…

Stay flexible and work from anywhere:
We hire in the EU, within ±2 hrs of Vienna, but you’ll have to arrange your day according to Vienna times and be present in our offices from time to time, depending on your role. While working at hi, we are totally fine with you working from anywhere within ±3 hours CET, but, you’ll have to arrange your schedule. Our team has already worked in a variety of nice places like Paris, Tuscany, Valencia, and many more.

Legal matters:
For legal matters, we state that the minimum wage for this full-time (38,5 hrs) position is 80.000 € gross per year according to the collective agreement. Your actual offer depends on your skill set and experience and is likely to be above the salary mentioned above.
